When you add a deck to your Raleigh home, you add a beautiful, new living space and ROI to your home. It's a total win-win project. However, these benefits only come with hiring the right Raleigh deck builder. Why? Here are some reasons why you need to hire the right custom deck builder in order to get the maximum ROI out of the job:
Materials
When you factor in the entertainment and recreation a deck can provide, you're getting a new return. However, the right materials have to be chosen. Certain decking products add great value because of the durability they provide, which is important considering North Carolina's sometimes extreme weather.
Protection
It's important to protect this important investment. And one of the best ways to do so is with a patio cover. You don't need something elaborate; just something that can minimize the elements impact on your deck.
Railings/Design
Get more of out of your new deck by including a full complement of railings. You don't want to go "too" contemporary, as trends can change and do more harm than good. The thing you don't want to have happen is to have a deck that's in style now, but looks dated in a few years.
Paradise Decking provides custom decks, sunrooms, covered decks, screened porches & room additions in Greensboro, Winston Salem, & Piedmont Triad Area in North Carolina NC.

Making the Most of Your Sunroom
In the sunny South, there is something special about those days where it is warm enough to enjoy the fresh air without being so humid that one feels as though their breath has been taken away when they walk outside. Consequently, many people look for ways to enjoy the warmth of summer without actually being in the direct sunlight. One such way, is with sunrooms. From Charlotte to Atlanta, and Charleston to Nashville, many homeowners are choosing Winston-Salem sunrooms as a way to not only expand their home’s living space but also to make the most of those sultry summer days.
Whether you already have a sunroom, or you anticipate having one built in the near future, you have probably already thinking about ways you can design and you decorate your new sunny space. After all, there are many benefits of a sunroom and you want to use them to your full advantage. To help you get started here are some suggestions from other homeowners for how to enhance your sunroom's beauty and function.

After all, there are many benefits of a sunroom and you want to use them to your full advantage. To help you get started here are some suggestions from other homeowners for how to enhance your sunroom's beauty and function.
- Make the most of the natural lighting and colors of nature. Keep the colors in your sunroom light and bright by choosing rugs and fabric with bold patterns, using candles and waterfalls, decorative jars and leafy plants that thrive in the sun.
- Rather than heavy furniture, consider using baskets, wicker, bamboo and other lightweight items for seating and storage.
- Functionality is key. If the sunroom will not be used during parts of the year, be sure that any items in the sunroom can be moved indoors without being in the way.
- Think about the windows-yes it is a sunroom, but you are not required to use a specific type of window. While some homeowners choose basic windows, there is nothing wrong with having some frames that are intricately designed stained glass or perhaps having decorative windowpanes at the top of the room with more basic ones below.
- The entrance way to your sunroom can make a difference in the overall look, and even functionality, of the sunroom. A basic screen door is easy to incorporate into any look, but if you are looking for a more elegant look, consider French doors as they work great and allow light in at angles.

Another Sunroom Use: Art Studio
If you're an artist, one of the most important features your studio should have is a private location away from other heavily-trafficked parts of your home. A sunroom, which is usually added as an extension onto your existing home, can provide such a setup. And, because of the way a sunroom is set up with plenty of windows and lots of outdoor imagery in sight, it can also serve as a place that inspires you and whatever type of art you're creating.
From outside the sunroom, an art studio can be a neat thing to look in on, too -- especially if you decide to show off some of the art you're creating by hanging it on walls or leaving it on easels around the room. With the right lighting, a sunroom art studio can even serve as a way to add to your home's nighttime exterior decor.
Before you can create this unique space, you'll need to add a sunroom to your home. Paradise Decking has experience building Charlotte sunrooms, as well as structures in many other North Carolina cities. Call us today at (336) 282-3374 for a FREE estimate!

More Sunroom Fun: Barbecues
Luckily, something called a sunroom exists, and it can solve this problem and many others.
A sunroom is a structure that is normally added to the side or back of a home, and consists mainly of glass panels and a frame constructed of wood or some other material. The idea behind a sunroom is to let the good elements of the outdoors, like scenery and sunlight, into the room while keeping undesirable things like weather and insects outdoors. By eating in a sunroom, you can still get that barbecure cookout experience without the parts that aren't so enjoyable.
Ready to upgrade your barbecues? Get in touch with Paradise Decking, and learn more about how we've been building High Point sunrooms for over 35 years. Call us today at (336) 282-3374.

Sunroom Fun: Parties
A sunroom is a room that puts a focus on letting the outdoors come in. There is a lot less wall than a normal room -- instead, glass panels serve as the majority of the structure, allowing more natural light to enter and giving those inside a view of the plant life and wildlife that exist outside.
Paradise Decking has been building High Point sunrooms for over 35 years. Call us today at (336) 282-3374 and learn more about how we can help you build the sunroom of your dreams.

So, What's a Pergola?
The official Wikipedia definition for a pergola is "a garden feature forming a shaded walkway, passageway or sitting area of vertical posts or pillars that usually support cross-beams and a sturdy open lattice, often upon which woody vines are trained." If you're still here after that long sentence, a pergola is basically sturdier open-sided tent of sorts, usually made of wood.
Need to see a few examples? Here you go.

They're great for providing outdoor shade or protection from rain in an area, provided the roof of the pergola is covered. As stated in the Wikipedia definition, some like to train vines or other types of plants to grow on or around their pergola, which makes it feel more like a part of nature than a man-made structure.
Paradise Decking can build pergolas, as well as decks, sunrooms, covered porches, and room additions. Give us a call today at (336) 282-3374 and ask us about receiving a FREE pergola estimate for your home.
